Crowns
When a tooth has extensive decay or damage, Dr. Batton and Dr. Harlin may suggest a crown to save the tooth. Crowns, also called caps, fit snugly to protect and strengthen teeth. Porcelain fused-to-metal and all-porcelain crowns can stabilize a compromised tooth and restore functionality, as well as appearance.
To place a crown, Fort Worth dentists Dr. Batton or Dr. Harlin will prepare the tooth and make a molded impression to send to our dental laboratory. You will wear a fitted, custom temporary crown to protect your tooth while the lab creates your final restoration. At your next visit, Dr. Batton or Dr. Harlin will securely affix the permanent crown. When you leave, you can smile and eat with renewed confidence - and comfort!
